How 1:1 Messaging Works

Messaging on HERizon Connect is intentional. You can have a direct conversation with anyone you are connected with, and Allies have a clear process for reaching out to members as well. Here is how all of it works.

Starting a conversation

Tap the + button on the Messages screen and you will see your connections list. Select whoever you want to reach out to and start the conversation. If you are not connected with someone yet, the message option will not appear until you are.

Message Requests from Allies

If a HERizon Ally reaches out to you first, their message arrives as a

Message Request rather than a direct message. You can accept it to open the conversation or decline if you prefer not to engage. You are always in control of who gets to reach you.

What you can send

  • Text messages

  • Photos

  • Videos

  • Documents

  • Voice messages — record directly in the app, review or edit the auto-generated transcript, and send

Managing your inbox

At the top of the Messages screen you can toggle between All Messages and Unread to keep things manageable. If you need to block someone, you can do that from within any conversation. To see your full list of blocked users, go to Settings from your Profile page.
