A Guide to Highlights: How to Share Your Story

Highlights are how you show up in this network. They are structured social posts built around templates designed to make it easy to share what you are doing professionally, what you are learning, and what you need. Every Highlight belongs to one of five categories.

How to post

1. Tap the orange + button from the Highlights or Profile page

2. Choose a category.

3. Select a template within that category.

4. Fill in the prompted fields. Add photos, video, or a voice note if you want.

5. Set your preferences: visibility (Public or Connections Only), comments on or off, and tag members if relevant.

6. Preview your Highlight, then tap Publish. Or tap Save Draft to come back to it later. Drafts live on your Profile page under the Drafts button.

Here is a breakdown of what each category is for and when to use it.

Work

This is where you share what you are actually doing in your role. Work Highlights are specific to your professional life and the projects, opportunities, and day-to-day work that make up your career.

• Project Spotlight — Share a professional project, achievement, or campaign you are proud of.

• Behind the Scenes — Give a peek into your process, workflows, or day-to-day that others do not usually see.

• Job Alert — Post a job and help women in sports land their next role.

Growth

Document where you are in your professional development. Big milestones and small ones both belong here.

• Milestone Moment — Celebrate progress you have made, whether it is a promotion, a certification, or a personal win.

• Lessons Learned — Reflect on an experience and share the insights or takeaways that could be useful to someone else.

Passion

Not everything worth sharing is work. Passion Highlights are for what you are doing and thinking about outside your main role.

• Passion Pursuit — Showcase a side project, hobby, or personal endeavor you are working on.

• Off the Clock — Share random things you are enjoying lately: pop culture, sports, what is inspiring you.

Support

This category is two-directional. Ask for what you need, or offer what you have.

• Share a Resource — Drop an article, book, podcast, tool, or anything else worth passing to the network.

• Ask for Help — Make a request: advice, an introduction, accountability. Bring it here.

• Offer Your Expertise — Let others know where you can help, whether that is mentorship, feedback, or sharing your knowledge in a specific area.

Travel

Use Travel Highlights to connect with members when you are on the move.

• Travel Alert — Announce an upcoming trip and connect with members in that city.

• Travel Highlight — Share adventures and favorite moments from a recent trip.
